What color does Erase-A-Hole become when dry?
Erase-A-Hole dries to an off-white color.
Will Erase-A-Hole fill shallow scratches?
Yes, it will work for shallow and deep blemishes in wood, plaster, and drywall. If the scratches are very shallow, such as dog scratches on a windowsill, then you may want to try using a putty knife to create the seamless look of a flat surface.
If I mess up filling the hole and it doesn’t look right. What do I do?
Not to worry! Just wipe access with a wet cloth even after it dries and it will wipe off.
How hard is clean up?
Erase-A-Hole is water-based. To clean, just wipe with a damp cloth. Fabric can be cleaned using soap and water.
What size hole does the wall repair putty fill?
Erase-A-Hole easily fills nail and screw holes. However, for larger holes around 1/2 inch, you may need more than one application. Additionally, larger holes may need to be sanded for a seamless finish.
What materials does Erase-A-Hole work on?
It works on wood, plaster, and drywall.
Do I need any special tools?
Erase-A-Hole doesn’t require special tools for many projects. However, larger projects may require sandpaper, a putty knife, or retexturing tool.
Do I need to sand it after application and before painting?
Sanding is recommended when repairing a smooth surface. However, sanding is not necessary for textured surfaces.
Will it work on my wall texture?
Erase-A-Hole works on all textures! It’s easily manipulated after application. Therefore, after applying, simply wipe off the access until it is even with the surface.
Do I need to prime after application and before painting?
For a pristine, flawless finish, applying a primer is recommended. However, many paints come with primers included in the formula, so an additional primer would not be necessary.
